It’s easy to take email, social media, instant messaging and even the web for granted sometimes. They’ve become such a ubiquitous part of our lives that we ping messages to the other side of the earth with barely a second’s thought. But if we have a time machine, and peering back to the old time, you can see the absolutely different things. A solider want send a secret message to his officer in one second? Don’t even think about that in last century.
Now, people from different place in the world are getting more and more similar, people from different side of the world may eating a same Mcdonald's hamburger, using a same Apple phones, watching a same movie, and of course they can wearing a same design fast fashion clothes. In this case, we can say, high-tech make people tightly connected, and the effect it brings, like same food, some phone, same clothes, make people connected even tighter. As I am doing the lady garment business, I’d like to talk about connect with people through fashion.
Just image, if you can back to eighteen century of the earth, how kind of totally different garment will you see? Hundred? Thousand? Women in Europe was wearing long bubble dress while Chinese ladies were wearing cheong-sam, Middle East women were wearing burqa, and in hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa, people were simply wearing some hides to cover their private parts. Ok, I have to admit, even today, African hunter-gatherer tribes are still wearing hides, and in some place, muslim women are still wearing burqa. But in general, the garment people wear today are not that diverse from the old days. The pursuit of fashion, make people connected together. No matter in which place in the world, women all like new design coat, and all have a favorite mini dress in their closet. Fast fashion brand such as Forever 21, H&M, ZARA are expanding their business around the whole world. In this industry, we can see how clothes make people together, for example, women in Russia who buys a suit, and the suit actually made in a factory located in China, before produce it, the factory have collected accessories from Japan, and this suit has been designed by a designer who is worked in Sweden. This kind of story happened everyday, and this how one simple suit connected people together.
We have more and more chances to explore different ideas about fashion and get a great hill of this industry, it’s a good thing for we human beings could sticker together like we do today, and it’s good thing for we human beings could share the same view about beauty.
